The Ranch Market opened at Stapley and Southern. It has the most amazing assortment of Mexican foods and it passes my cleanliness standards. We stopped by today to pick up some fresh tortillas. I did not see it but my sources tell me there is an entire cow's head sitting in the meat case.....complete with eyeballs. Debbie, we have to pay this place a visit when you return from the land of Lincoln.
Every great once in a great while a toddler will decide on his own that he wants to use the potty. Matt appears to be one of these rare children. He announces when he has to go potty and has had amazingly few accidents. He also washes his hands when he is done all by himself. Now we just need to work on the order of things. Pants up first, wash hands second.
Tonight we had a delicious pasta dinner at the Pasta Bar and then went to see Joe Cocker at the Dodge Theatre. Joe has gotten older (just like us) and there is much less flailing about as if he was playing a guitar that only he could see. None the less it was a really great show. Gotta love the Rock and Roll complete with two go-go dancers behind and to the right of Joe Cocker.
One of our favorite places to go in San Diego is Point Loma Seafood. Not only do they have delicious fish but most evenings when we are there the fishing boats are arriving with their catch.
The sea lions know when the fishing boats are arriving and circle around the dock waiting for the boats to dump their remaining bait. This time we got really lucky as a fisherman was cleaning his fish and a sea lion was right by the dock reaping the rewards of the of this "filet of fish". The fisherman called the sea lion "Fluffy" and we got to watch him devour the remains of several large fish. Andrew and Matt were delighted. Actually, we all were.
