Sandcastles 2010

We started out slow with a not so great Walrus

and a pathetic whale

Then we got our groove back and made

a fantastic lobster

Which was almost immediately destroyed by some creepy beach punks
who wrote
"life is a bitch"
after they kicked the crap out of it.
We lost our thunder for sandcastles
and built no more.

Sitting and listening

Every year I sit on the porch in San Diego and watch the freak show go by. I also pick up small bits of conversations as people walk by on the sidewalk. I decided to write down a few of the random things I heard.

"that's how you were when you lived with me, oh my god I could kill her"

"I did not think America was like this"

"I'm going to the pride parade"

"I was lying on her floor and then I just had to sit down"

Tipsea

My first and last ride on Tipsea............too wet, too cold and too afraid I would fall in.

Boat Yard Chili Cook-Off

We had an impromptu chili cook-off in the boat yard. Turns out that Tom's and my chili tasted pretty much the same. A winner was not declared.
