Train Guy Hat Andrew (it was the only hat he would model)

Backwards Beret Hat Matt

Grandma in the Hat

And last but certainly not least "Horny Hat Grandpa "

Taco Shop

Matt loves the Taco Shop

Grandpa got Red Snapper complete with head and eyeballs

Andrew is fairly sure this is the same fish we saw dead on the beach the day before

Sometimes it's random but fun to hang a fork from your ear while you're eating your taco

By the Sea

By the sea
By the sea
By the beautiful sea

Pomp and Circumstance

Evergreen Cottage Preschool Graduation 2009

Andrew leads the line while Pomp and Circumstance plays in the background

He was very serious about his graduation

The class sang "She's a Grand Ole Flag"

Miss Ashley said Andrew was a nice little boy and a nice friend

Andrew told everyone that his favorite part of school was playing Motorcycle with his friends

Sometimes these things just go on to long

Andrew receives his diploma

Hey, I can see through this diploma

Yep, sure can see through it

Now a celebratory brownie and an announcement that "This was more fun than I thought it was going to be"

Rebekkah and the blue plastic jelly shoes

Got these blue plastic jelly shoes today at the store, I love them.I'm finding them a little difficult to navigate the sand in.
So i guess I better take them off

But the slide is hot so I better put them back on

This is really great, this Nanny will put these shoes on and off for me all day!

I guess now I can go off and play knowing someone will meet my shoe needs before I actually know they need to be met. Can't get much better service than this Nanny.

Fancy Rebekkah

Rebekkah decides to play dress-up

Much to Michelle's and my delight

Nice Hat!!!!

Zachary Graduates from Kindergarten

Zachary graduated from kindergarten on Friday. He is getting to be such a big boy. It is amazing how much he has learned in kindergarten. He can read, write and do math problems. When I was in kindergarten I learned how to skip. Way to go Zachary, we are proud of you.

Rumpus in the Rain Forest

Ben's class had their annual end of the year play. This year it was called Rumpus in the Rain Forest. Ben was a Monkey.
It warmed my heart to see this formerly shy little boy stand up and belt out a song all by himself complete with animation and without hesitation.

After his play he showed everyone the report he had done on the Mouse Lemur.

A Just Peachy Mother's day

We spent the morning picking peaches in Queen Creek.

Peaches spent her night catching a bird, bringing it in through the cat door, depositing it into our bathtub and croaking it around the neck. She was very proud of her catch.
Bad Peaches.

Yum Yum

In the 1950's midwestern dinners often consisted of something like tuna casarole and lima beans or hash and a wedge of lettuce with orange french dressing. We were required to sit at the table until our plates were clean, we all spent a lot of time at the dining room table. On the rare occasion we had company for dinner we would have something special like "Aspic". Sometimes it was tomato aspic and sometimes it was really "fancy" like the chicken aspic above. We were fed early in the kitchen where I usually remained long after the company had gone. I hated aspic, still do.
