We rented a surrey on Coronado Island and went on a picnic

Andrew was very into ringing the bell

He pretended to drive it himself
We stopped for a picnic lunch

and tried to get Matt to eat

He found the cookies and wanted some

but then decided it was more fun to chase pigeons

and go down the slide

Chocolate Crists

We had the time to make eggless cookies for Matt. They were chocolate chip and he thought they were delicious

Beads

We walked up to LaJolla Beads to get some beads for our beading projects. Andrew commented that it looked like we had a beading workshop.

So we invited him to join us

Auntie Amy instructed him in the fine art of beading

He made a beautiful bracelet and was quite proud of himself

Debbie, the beadshop on Mission had dragonflies made from the leaf beads, I took a picture so we could copy it. The owner gave me a dirty look. :-)

Father's Day in LaJolla

We spent a lovely father's day in La Jolla with Rob, Elisabeth and the boys as well as Rob's parents and sister Amy

The Day Before

The day before we left for LaJolla the little boys were restless so they came by for a swim

Matt likes his new orange goggles although he seemed to be having some trouble seeing through them

Andrew is becomming quite the little fish

Yesterday we picked some peaches from the orchard in Queen Creek

Andrew thought it was great

Matt wasn't so sure
