Dear Peaches

I hope your Mommy Jeffiner will read you this letter. You seem to be adjusting to your new home which makes me very happy. I miss your loud meow when we come home after work, unexpected trips to the hospital due to your surprise attacks, the wild frenzy that ensues when the can opener is used and your warm furry body curled up next to my back while we sleep. I miss finding dried up lizard remains about the house (the cleaning lady also mentioned this) and doing battle with the occasional bird brought in through the kitty entrance. I am sorry Anastasia and Drizella won’t just get out of the bed so you can sleep with Mommy Jeffiner, but remember they were there first. (I know this should make no difference at all) Perhaps someday they will consider buying a king size bed. The hissing and spitting seem to be waning, although it does seem that crap rolls down hill and Anastasia has begun to exhibit some of your bad behaviors to her sister. Please try to mind your manners or your new parents may get the idea that you are mean and aggressive. I know, that would be hard to believe, but you might try acting as sweet as you look. Appreciate where you live now as I am sure the feline concierge services are quite superior to what you had in our home. I will always miss you as you were my favorite cat of all time. You read the cat behavior book and follow it well, no sweet submission for you.

Daphane Deutsch-Slack

This is Daphane our cat who moved across the street when her adopted sister Peaches arrived and decided to be the dominate cat. Daffy's new father Dave was sick and got great comfort from Daffy's presence. Cats always love the sick and the depressed. Today Daffy came over to see us when we were out in the front yard. She must have had a sense that Peaches was gone because she rubbed all over us wanting to claim us for her own. Daffy is now 21 years old, she is deaf but still a nice little kitty.
